Dance
Valley Festival, Spaarnwoude,
Amsterdam West, The Netherlands
Dance Valley is the biggest open air
Dance festival in the Benelux, located in the Spaarnwoude
recreational area. The area has a rolling nearly non-Dutch
geography, together with two huge concrete monuments, a climbing
wall and the double disc, creating a surreal atmosphere, which
is difficult to forget. The "valley" that the stage
is located in provides a perfect surrounding for loud music.
The boasts a lineup of top international artists and an unbelievably
enthusiastic audience. Combined with a great organization
team it brings a unique atmosphere which puts Dance Valley
firmly on the European yearly festival agenda.
There are a total of ten stages of additional entertainment.
And recently there has been a greater focus on the international
DJ community. The Dance Valley organizational team worked
in cooperation with many international groups making this
festival and ones to come have a greater global impact in
the dance world. There is fourteen hours of some of the finest
DJs and live acts in the business drawing tens of thousands
of party people from all over the planet. This event is so
big it cannot be referred to as a rave, it's just a huge party
where every single person gets along.
Well we can honestly say that we would expect no less from
a great country like the Netherlands. We would have to say
that the party of Dance Valley certainly one of the best in
Europe. The people who visit Dance Valley are relaxed and
friendly a little different that some of the other party destinations
that can sometimes get violent if you're not careful, perhaps
the dope or alcohol synonymous with the Netherlands has something
to with it, but we're not sure :)
Tickets are a very reasonable £ 30, and you are sure
to have a party experience that you are not soon to forget.
Dance Valley Review...
50,000 people dancing for 13 hours around 3 massive open
air stages and 15 different arenas, featuring 170 DJs from
across the globe - This is Dance Valley Festival 2004.
You couldn't ask for more from a dance festival. It is set
in the in a valley in the heart of a massive park on the outskirts
of Amsterdam. The day was blessed with glorious sunshine and
a complete ticket sell-out which guaranteed a great atmophere
for all. This is the festival of love - what other festival
would drop flowers and paper butterflys over the crowds from
a helicopter
The organisation of the festival was breath-taking. With
10 years of experience, the promoters UDC have thought of
every little detail including building roads through the car
park fields, providing dance floors in each of the marquees
and offering more visuals than you would see at any UK festival.
Yoji Biomehanika, Scot Project and resident Tom Harding each
played an awesome set at the HQ open air stage. Carl Cox closed
the night with a massive two hour demonstration showing that
he is still one of the world's most distinguished artists.
The night concluded with a huge fireworks display and a highly
impressive light and laser show.
With such a huge array of dance music on offer Dance Valley
caters for every clubber, this truly is the woodstock of dance.
