Dash Berlin first entered the Global DJ stage in ‘07, when “Till The Sky Falls Down” premiered on Universal Religion 2007. Right away, he captured our hearts, minds and ears with an entirely new sound of Trance.

So Who is Dash Berlin?

Born in the Hague, Netherlands, in November of 1979, Dash Berlin’s real name is Jeffrey Sutorius. He grew up listening to electronic music and strived to produce and play his own. Working with his two friends Molijn & Kalberg, the unique sound of Dash Berlin was born (all together they make up the group Dash Berlin, but here we will refer to Jeff as Dash), and in 2007 his hard work paid off when Armin van Buuren discovered their talent. Dash was signed to Armada, “Till The Sky Falls Down” was released in March of 2008, and trance fanatics around the world ate it all up.

Following “Till The Sky Falls Down,” “Man On The Run” and “Waiting” were released with his album, “A New Daylight” in 2009. Both songs were huge hits, with “Waiting” winning the best Hi-NRG/Euro track of 2009, at the IDMAs. More recently Dash released a number of videos, including his “FlashBack” video mix, which incorporated a number of trance hits into one 40 minute music video.

Where Does Dash’s Future Lie?

Since his “United Destination” compilation was just released, he’s been on the road promoting it and his artist album, “The New Daylight”, so definitely count on him coming by your city.

One thing is for certain, however, with his new label “Aropa,” he is sure to bring us new chart toping tracks, and new talent as producers sign under his label. On that note, it should be mentioned that Dash is not only into the music, but also the multiple venues at which he can bring that music to his fans. Recently he came out with his Dash Berlin iPhone App, produced the “Flashback” video mix (as mentioned above), and is constantly finding ways to interact with his fans through youtube, facebook, twitter, myspace, and other social networking sites. Dash’s future definitely lies in producing new amazing sounds, but also producing new and exciting ways of interacting with his fans.
