Possibly the biggest act on the happy hardcore scene.. Real names Paul and Darren, they are the successful duo behind UK Dance records, one of the best happy hardcore labels around. Paul originally used to DJ on the side for special occasions etc. and got into hardcore as it was taking off in the UK. Darren used to go to all the raves in Essex which is where he first heard about Paul (DJ Force). From there, they collaborated and initially made records under the heading of Force + Evolution although this eventually changed to Force+Styles. Apparently, Slipmatt requested the name change because he wasn't keen on it appearing on his label ! So, recording under Force + Styles, they released a monster track titled "All Over" and subsequently "Harmony","Shining Down","Wonderland","Funfair" and "Pretty Green Eyes". Then, they released a one-sided promo copy of "Heart Of Gold" on United Dance recordings which was to prove to be the major tune of the year and allowed them to get plenty of exposure. They are now running UK Dance full-time and are also working with a company called Diverse which allows them to release house versions of their happy hardcore tunes into the UK market with the aim of making more people aware of hardcore music. UK Dance have now released over 20 songs, proving that they are going to be on the happy hardcore scene for a long time.
