DJ Joop, was born in 1975 in Leeuwarden
(Holland) and his first contact with the world of vinyl, headphones
and turntables was at the tender age of 13.
Three years later he started at a local club in his hometown
on Friday night and Saturday night. And while he was doing
his thing, the love for music kept on growing.
One of the hottest moments in his life happened when he
won the Twix Talent Room at the Innercity party in 2001. From
there on things went fast. Joop played at Mystery Land (2002/2003),
Trance Energy (2002/2003/2004), Sensation Black VIP in the
Amsterdam Arena, Innercity and at the ID&T Radio Tour
together with DJs like Marco V, Johan Gielen, Dana, Yves
de Ruyter and Armin van Buuren.
On the Dutch ranking list of international DJs DJ Joop
is listed as number 40!
DJ Joop knows how to make a party! He does that with a sound
that is most of all a sound between real Trance and Tech-House/Trance.
Very energetic and yet with moments of stillness and above
all he mixes his records without making a mistake and with
the greatest ease.
Having established a solid reputation on the Dutch Club/Tech-Trance
scene, Joop went on to launch a record in 2002. His first
release on the label of ID&T was an innovative track entitled
"Act of God". It was a huge hit all over Europe
and was played by DJs like Cosmic Gate, Snowman, Marcel Woods
and Blank & Jones, Johan Gielen, Armin van Buuren, Matt
Darey, Mark Sherry,Sterling Moss, Quicksilver, M.I.K.E., Paul
Mendez and Cor Fijneman,
Joops second release is "Sonsuz", which contains
Turkish vocals. The flip site contains a huge Mark Norman
remix. (Black Hole) The Sonsuz record now already has a huge
rotation by many djs like Armin van Buuren, Cor Fijnenman,
Johan Gielen, Simon Patterson, Judge Jules, etc.
The New track is also coming up The World and already hammered
by Tiesto in Concert.
Joop also mixed an ID&T compilation-CD, which was the
official Trance Energy 2002 album.
Next to the Netherlands, Joop performs in Germany, Belgium,
Switzerland and Turkey as well.
