The Nature One Festival is a large German
Dance Festival that takes place every year in Germany
Nature One History...
It all began in August 1995 with over
100 DJs and ravers specially gliding in by plane to celebrate
Germany's first, major, open-air rave with 13,000 other party
people on the former US Hahn Airbase in the lush-green hills
of the Hunsrück. With only the sky above them, in the
open, unspoilt countryside, and where the views are not obscured
by walls and concrete. A new base for the values of our culture.
A festival of freedom and of open-mindedness.
Far, far more than just a new, large-scale rave begins on
this warm summer's day. An incredible story starts to unfold,
and it is the story of a new world: the world of Nature-One
Land!
One year after lift-off at Hahn, the party moves to the Pydna
missile base. Taxiways for mobile launch pads turn into open-air
floors, and grassy nuclear missile bunkers into chill-out
zones. Pydna becomes the party base.
Then everything really gathers pace and 1997 sees the open-air
rave growing to festival status, with camping and tents. Partying,
dancing, loving and finding friends for a whole weekend. A
new, and boundless, and sublime sense of togetherness is created.
The following summer sees the first clubs moving from the
towns and the cities to NatureOne Land. Neon lights are exchanged
for fireflies, and the blare from the streets for chirping
crickets. In 1998 there are a "mere" seven, in 1999
already eleven and in 2003 as many as 16 clubs that construct
their country castles at Pydna.
NatureOne Land opens its gates for the very first time on
the Thursday in the year 2000, staging a warm-up party in
the camping village. This year also sees the Red Bull House
making its debut as the fourth headfloor. With "Thunderdome"
(Holland) and "Energy" (Switzerland), the clubs
become international. And not even torrential rain and mud
everywhere can dampen our party spirit in this wet summer!
The warmth of our hearts triumphs over the rain!
The inexorable advance has been continuing ever since, with
more and more people getting together in NatureOne Land year
after year and metamorphosing green fields into a colourful,
pulsating party world. And all so that once a year they can
shape the world as it always really should be!
This year we are celebrating our tenth birthday. Now that
calls for a party, the likes of which not even Pydna has seen
before! There'll be a special anniversary floor as the grand
and glittering birthday cake, with all the heroes who have
been with us from the beginning.
